Torgerson's Test

Torgerson's Test

Overview

The pre-set Torgerson's test type template comes distributed with the software for you to use in a click of a button! A Torgerson's test is a discrimination test type that presents three samples, all of which are different from each other. One of the samples is the reference marked REF and each sample has the opportunity to be served as a reference to every panelist in a back-to-back fashion.

This test type is useful for quality testing when you have a reference or gold standard you'd like to compare to 2 different samples for similarity, to determine if the samples from two different batches are within the expected range of variability.

The panelist must select the sample that they perceive as the most similar to the reference. There is no right or wrong answer.
