Dashboard

Overview

The Dashboard is where you will find everything you need to create new tests , update existing ones, run and monitor their progress, run analysis , import panelists , and much more. Each segment of the Dashboard , from top down, is described on this page.

For the full page view of this article, in the top right-hand corner, please click on the icon with an arrow.

The Black Ribbon at the Top

The black ribbon at the top is visible throughout the software. This allows you to access the features available in the ribbon very easily regardless of where you are in the software.
The black ribbon is not accessible when monitoring tests because the test monitor feature launches in a separate browser tab.

Advanced search & analysis across tests

Click to access a comprehensive test searching tool that also enables you to:
  1. Move tests to different folders, or even groups if you have access to multiple analyst groups.

  2. Run analysis across multiple tests or multiple sections within a single test.

  3. Export a list of selected tests you searched for.

  4. Generate graphs on data found in the selected tests you searched for.

Search tests

Search for tests by their Test ID or by their name. As you type, the list of tests will change corresponding to the characters that you typed in the search box.
The software will search in the selected folder. If no folder is selected, the search will take place across all tests in the selected Analyst group .
Click on the arrows to change the search location. The search results will update automatically.

Filters

To further refine your search, use the following filtering options:
  1. + Add folder - Click to create a new folder. Specify the folder name and where you want to place it in the folder structure.

  2. My tests - Click to display only the tests that you own in the selected folder or across all folders in the selected Analyst group within the selected date range filter. Click again to remove the filter.

  3. Test type - Click to select a specific test type to search for within the selected date range filter. Select Test type to display all test types.

  4. Status - Click to select a specific test status to search by within the selected date range filter. Select Status to display all test statuses.

  5. More filters - Click to select:
    1. A preset date range, or set a custom date range filter. The default date range for test search is 6 months

    2. An owner or owners of the tests.
Filters applied in the More filters area will be displayed between More filters and the test list.

The total number of filters applied will be displayed little lower, just above the test list.

  6. Reset - Click to clear all custom filters. This will also reset the date range filter to the default 6 months .

Filters will hold (will be 'remembered') until you change them again, or until you clear the cache and cookies in your browser. If the filters consistently get cleared out every time to return to Compusense, that means that your browser is set to clear the cache and cookies every time you close the browser down. Update the browser cookie settings, or ask your IT to assist you with that.

Folders

A list of available folders and their subfolders in the selected Analyst group is displayed in the vertical bar on the left.
  1. Click a folder to see a list of test in it and all its subfolders, if applicable. You will know that a folder has subfolders when it has an arrow in front of the folder name. Click on the arrow to expand or collapse the folder structure.

In our example image, when we click on the folder named 2020 , the test list will display all the tests in this folder and its subfolders. Clicking on the folder named 01 will display only the tests in that subfolder.

  1. Click the vertical ellipses (three vertical dots) to create a subfolder, to edit the existing folder's name and location, or to delete an empty  folder. Folders with tests in them cannot be deleted.

At the bottom of the Folders list there is a double arrow. Click the double arrow once to collapse the list. This will make the Tests list area larger. Click the double arrow once again to expand the Folders list for a better view of folder names.

Tests

A test list based on the applied search and filtering criteria.
  1. The folder name displayed in the Tests list corresponds to the folder selected in the Folders list.

  2. Test ID - Identify the Test iD without going into the actual test. This is a useful unique identifier required when communicating with our Support Team.

  3. Test name - The name specified during the build of the test. Click the name of a test to open the test for editing.

  4. Status - The status of each test in the list.

  5. Results - The overview of completed results separated by a slash from the total number of sample sets (maximum possible results) in the test. Partial results are not indicated in this screen.

Click the number of results to go directly into the Results area of the test.

  6. Edit - Click the pencil icon to open the test for editing.

  7. Clone - Click the icon with two squares to create a clone of the test:
    1. With results, if the test contains any.
      --or
    2. Without results.
      --or
    3. Without results and panelists. We recommend using the last option whenever possible. This option is particularly useful for the scheduling functionality.

  8. More - Click the vertical ellipses (the three dots arranged vertically) to see the following:
    1. Last modified - The date and time the test was last modified.

    2. Owner - The analyst name that owns the test.

    3. Folder - The name of the folder where the test is located.

    4. Test type - The type of test.

    5. Move this test - Click to change the test location.
If you are considering moving tests owned by other analysts we recommend communicating with them first.

    6. Delete this test - Click to delete the test.
We recommend double-checking whether you really wish to delete the test, especially if the test is owned by another analyst. Deleted tests cannot be recovered.
  9. Show X tests - Click the arrows to select the number of tests you wish to display per page in the Tests list. The options are: 10, 25, 50, 100, and 150.

  10. Previous X Next - If the Tests list contains more tests than one page can display, you will be able to click on the Previous and Next buttons to navigate through pages. The number in the middle will indicate which page you are currently on. Use the Show X tests feature described above to control the number of tests per page.
