Panelist Rewards

Panelist Rewards

Overview

It can get quite challenging to manually keep track of panelists' points earned and redeemed. If you are already using, or planning on using the Incentives feature in Compusense, you will love the capabilities that the Rewards feature offers to compliment the Incentives!

The Incentives feature allows you to award points and other incentives types to panelists while the Rewards feature allows panelists to redeem their points for specific rewards you provide. You also get notifications on who redeemed points and what they redeemed the points for.

By default, the Rewards feature is not available in a subscription until the subscription holder requests this feature to be enabled. The feature can be enabled for specific analyst users and for specific panelist websites.

Active analysts that have the feature enabled for them will be able to use the Rewards library to manage the rewards.

Panelists will get a new button where they can redeem their points:

You have two choices when it comes to the Rewards feature; you can enable panelists to redeem their points for:
  1. Reward codes. Ideal feature if you use discount codes on your e-commerce website, for example, or in store, or links to online gift cards. If you have lists of discount codes or URLs, you can import them into the Rewards library and enable panelists to redeem their points (within their current points balance) for a discount code or electronic gift card according to the point value you set for each reward. They can then use the discount code on your e-commerce website, in store, etc, or they can click the link to access their electronic gift card.

    --or

  2. Rewards without codes. This Rewards option is ideal if you issue physical gift cards to panelists as their rewards, or specific products/merchandise, or other means of rewarding that does not involve codes.

If you would like to have the Rewards feature enabled in your subscription, please contact Compusense Support team and indicate which one of the two rewards functionalities you wish to enable (with or without codes), for which analyst(s), and for which panelist website. We also need to know the email address or addresses that should receive notifications when panelists redeem points.

Important Notes

It is very important to understand that the Rewards feature can be enabled per individual panelist website in your subscription. This is important to know because all panelists who have access to the panelist website where the Rewards feature is enabled, will be able to see their points and redeem them if they have enough points for a particular reward. This may or may not be what you would like.

Below are some scenarios to assist with understanding how the Rewards feature can be used.

Scenario #1: You only have a consumer panel and have one Compusense panelist website, which all of your panelists can access.

Solution: This is a scenario where the Rewards feature can be enabled for the only panelist website and you are not concerned that every panelist that accesses it can manage their points.

Scenario #2: You have a consumer panel and a descriptive panel. You have two Compusense panelist websites; one for the descriptive testing and another for consumer testing. Your objective is to enable the Rewards feature to the consumer panelists only.

Solution: In this scenario, the Rewards feature should be enabled on the consumer website only.

You would have to ensure that you do not provide the consumer panelist website link to your descriptive panel. This is easily managed with the booth setup.

Scenario #3: You have multiple locations; each with their own panelists. You have one Compusense panelist website in your subscription that all locations and their panelists use. Your objective is to enable the Rewards feature in a way that each location can set up their own specific rewards for their own panelists. For example, gift cards redeemable in businesses in China should be visible only to the panelists located in China. Gift cards redeemable in businesses in Spain should be visible only to the panelists located in Spain, etc. Additionally, you want to provide the flexibility to the locations that do not use the incentives system not to have the Rewards feature visible to their panelists.

Solution: In this scenario, if the feature is enabled on the only website you have, all panelists will be able to see and manage their points when they log in. This would not meet your objective of separating different types of rewards for different regions, and hiding the feature from the regions that do not use the incentives. Instead, you would need to purchase additional panelist website or websites, depending on how many locations you are interested in for the rewards system. Then it would be possible to enable the Rewards feature for different locations/regions and disable for others.
