Overview
Every Compusense subscription has at least one panelist website. Panelist websites are the pages where your registered and anonymous panelists can enter responses to your questions in
product tests and in
survey tests. Registered panelists are required to log in to take tests, and they can also
view and manage their points and personal profiles, and much more if these features are enabled on your website(s).
During the initial subscription setup, you worked closely with the
Compusense Support Team to design your panelist website or websites the way you wanted them to appear for the registered panelists, but that original design does not have to remain the same forever. If your corporate branding changes, designated users at your company or University can update your panelist websites accordingly. On this page, you will learn how to edit the appearance of your panelist websites.
If you or someone else at your company or University would like to have the ability to edit panelist websites, please
contact Compusense Support Team. We will need approval from the subscription holder to grant permissions to edit websites to users that are not subscription holders.
Access the Edit Websites Feature
If you have permissions to access the feature, you can follow these steps:
- In Compusense, from the black ribbon at the top, select the gear icon.
- Click Edit websites.

A page, Website templates, will display with the following information: - List of all the panelist websites available on your
subscription. The websites are usually identified by three or more characters. In our example, we have the website "cdn" listed.
- Each website can have its variations in
different languages. How many languages you will see in the table located below the website code, will depend on how your website was originally set up.
The table displays each language and the links to edit the login page and the home page for individual language. In other words, you can apply different design template on the same panelist website using different language association.
From our example image below, we can set up the same "cdn" website to have blue colour scheme when panelists select French on the website, orange colour scheme when panelists select Chinese on the website, and red colour scheme when panelists select English on the website. Similarly, the same design template can be applied to all languages or just a selected subset.

Follow the corresponding workflows below to learn how to make design changes on the login and/or home pages of your panelist website(s) for each available language.
Edit Login Page
The login page is what your registered panelists use for logging in and taking tests, and for viewing messages sent to them by analysts, managing their points and personal details. Anonymous panelists do not use the login page; they access tests with direct links.
On the
Website templates page, locate the website and the language you wish to update the website for. Click
Edit login.
You will see the following:
- Large screen preview. On the far left, you will see a
preview of what the website changes look like on the devices with larger
screens, such as laptops, desktops and tablets.
- Small screen preview. In the middle, you will see a preview of the website changes in vertical orientation on handheld devices with smaller screens.
- Settings. On
the right, in the settings bar, use various settings to customize your website. Scroll in the bar to
see all the available settings. The changes you make here will reflect in the two previews mentioned above.
There is no 'undo' button for settings changes. If you wish to cancel
the changes made in the settings, close the browser tab without
clicking Save website.
