Build: Show Results At End - Question/Attribute Options

Overview

As you are working on your Training & feedback exercise to show to panelists results at the end of their sitting, there are many options to choose from to ensure that the panelist experience meets your objective. On this page we will focus on various options available for this feature at the question and attribute level.

Workflow for general options is also available.

Once you enable the Show results at end feature, and set the general reporting options, your next step would be to decide what to display for each attribute and Comment question, if applicable.

Let's explore what panelists will see when different options are selected. Our examples are focused on specific scale attribute and Comment question settings.

Set Options For Individual Scale Attributes

The Training & feedback screen lists all attributes for every Line Scale, Category scale, and Numeric question added in the Build tab. Comment question does not have the same options as the scale attributes do.

In the example image below we can see that the Line Scale question named "Aroma - Line Scale" has 3 attributes: Herb, Vinegar, and Oil.

Let's explore the options!

Include At End Of Test

Option
Panelist View
Yes
Results will be displayed to panelists for this attribute. Example: Vinegar.

No
Results for this attribute will not be displayed to the panelists. In the example image below we can see that Vinegar is not displayed although it exists in the test.

Data Shown In Table

Option

Sample name
When this option is included and results are not grouped by sample (see general options), then the table will include the sample name and blinding code.

When this option is not included and results are not grouped by sample (see general options), then the table will include the blinding code.

If results are grouped by sample, even if you included the Sample name for an attribute, it will not be displayed in table. The sample name or code, depending on what you selected in the general options, will display above the group of attributes and Comment questions for each sample.

When this option is selected, panelists will see the Yours column with their results for each sample and attribute.

If the option is not selected, panelist scores will not be visible to them.
Mean
When this option is selected, panelists will see the panel mean for each sample and attribute.

If the option is not selected, the panel mean will not be visible to panelists.

When this option is selected, panelists will see the panel Standard Deviation for each sample and attribute.

If the option is not selected, the panel Standard Deviation will not be visible to panelists.
Median
When this option is selected, panelists will see the panel Median for each sample and attribute.

If the option is not selected, the panel Median will not be visible to panelists.

When this option is selected, panelists will see the scale usage range across panel for each sample and attribute. This is useful to see whether the panel is using the scales in a similar way. This is also useful information when using Allow panelists to set a range to highlight general option.

If the option is not selected, the panel range column will not be visible to panelists.
