Panelist Reports: Panelist Daily Attendance Report

Panelist Reports: Panelist Daily Attendance Report

Overview

Panelist daily attendance report is an Excel Workbook that can be generated in the Panelists library and includes multiple sheets. This report is helpful for tracking attendance and panelists' participation.

On this page you will learn how to generate the report and what information to expect on each sheet.

Generate The Report

  1. In the Dashboard, from the black ribbon at the top, select Libraries > Panelists.

  2. Click the Reports tab.

  3. Under the 1. Report type, select Panelist daily attendance report.

  4. Under the 2. Panelists, select Add panelists and select one of the following:
    1. Add panelists from panel. This option is useful when you have a specific panel you want to run the report on, or a subset of panelists from that one panel.

      --or

    2. Find panelists to add. This option is useful when you need to generate the report on panelists that are not necessarily in one specific panel, or you are not sure what panels they all belong to.

When you find and select panelists you wish to generate the report on, click Add selected. Click 2. Panelists to collapse it, or scroll further down on that page for the next step (the 3. Options).

  5. Under the 3. Options:
    1. On the left, select the information you wish to include in the report. You do not need to include any of the fields if you do not want. The Username/Code will be included by default.

    2. On the right, specify the date range you are interested in. The date range selection is mandatory and it represents the time frame within which panelists completed their sample sets. The default range is from 7 days ago to today.

  6. Click 3. Options to collapse it, or scroll down and click Create my report. Download and open the report to review.

The Report Details

The following information is displayed across all sheets in the report:
  1. Panelists are displayed in rows. Username (or Code) for every panelist is always included in the report.

  2. The columns display the panelist fields that you may have selected before generating the report, followed by the dates on which panelists participated in tests. The dates are within the range that you specified before generating the report and they are displayed in the format set within your Compusense settings.

If at least one panelist participated on a day within the range you set, that day will be included in the report in all sheets.

If no panelists participated on a specific date, the date will not have a column on these sheets. For example, if you typically do not run tests on Fridays, you should not see in the report any dates that fall on a Friday even if Fridays were included within the date range that you specified.

  3. Below the header row is a row displaying totals for each date that at least one panelist participated on. The totals do not represent the same information in every sheet. Please see the details further down on this page.

Below are the sheet-specific report details:
  1. Attendance by day. Provides an overview of how many days within a specified range panelists participated in your tests, regardless of whether they completed their sample sets or not.

    In this sheet:
    1. The totals row (located below the header row) displays the counts of panelists who participated in your tests on a corresponding date.

    2. If a panelist started at least one sample set on a specific date within the range you specified and completed at least one page worth of questions in a test, they will have a checkmark with the green background on this sheet for that date. A page in Compusense can have one or more questions on it, but the data is saved to Compusense servers only when the panelists answers all the required questions on a page and successfully load the next page.

The checkmark does not necessarily mean that the panelist completed the sample set they started. This is because a panelist could have started a test, but did not finish it by the time you ran the report (maybe the test was set up with Partial Present, or Pause features, or they experienced an interruption during their testing). The next three sheets provide the sample set totals, test totals, and sample totals.

    3. If a panelist did not start at least one sample set on a specific date, the cell will be blank for that panelist.

    4. The "% days attended" column provides the percentage per panelist calculated as follows:

% days attended = (the total number of checkmarks a panelist has / the number of day columns in the report) * 100.

  2. Complete response by day. Provides an overview of how many days within a specified range panelists completed their sample sets.

    In this sheet:
    1. The totals row (located below the header row) displays the counts of panelists who completed their sample sets in your tests on a corresponding date.

    2. If a panelist completed at least one sample set on a specific date within the range you specified, they will have a checkmark with the green background in a cell for that date.

The checkmark does not necessarily equal the number of tests they completed that day. This is because a panelist could have completed more than one test in a single day. The next sheet provides the test totals.

    3. If a panelist did not complete at least one sample set on a specific date, the cell will be blank for that panelist.

    4. The "% days attended" column provides the percentage per panelist calculated as follows:

% days attended = (the total number of checkmarks a panelist has / the number of day columns in the report) * 100.

  3. Tests per day. Provides an overview of how many tests panelists completed per day within a specified date range. The total number of tests for each panelist on this sheet can be greater than or equal to the total number of checkmarks for the same panelists on the previous sheet ("Complete response by day").

    In this sheet:
    1. The totals row (located below the header row) displays the counts of panelists who completed entire tests on a corresponding date.

    2. If a panelist completed one or more tests on a specific date, the number of tests they completed will be indicated under that date.

    3. If a panelist did not complete any tests on a specific date, it is indicated with a zero (0) under that date.

    4. The Total column displays the total number of tests panelists completed across all the days displayed in the report.

  4. Samples per day. Provides an overview of how many samples panelists completed per day within a specified date range. The total number of samples for each panelist on this sheet includes all samples that they completed evaluating even if they did not finish entire sample set that day. For example, if you were using the Partial Present feature to present 2 out of 4 samples on July 3rd, ran the report at the end of the day, you would notice that your panelists completed 2 samples even though their sample sets are not counted as completed in the "Complete response by day" sheet.

    In this sheet:
    1. The totals row (located below the header row) displays the counts of samples evaluated on a corresponding date. A date can have a zero (0) as a total, as seen in our example screenshot. For example, even though panelists participated in tests on that day and have data in the previous three sheets, there were no samples evaluated (all tests were survey test types), therefore, rather than removing this date from this sheet, zero is displayed to confirm that on that day there were no samples in tests that panelists participated in.

    2. If a panelist completed one or more samples on a specific date, the number of samples they completed will be indicated under that date for that panelist.

    3. If a panelist did not complete any samples on a specific date, it is indicated with a zero (0) under that date.

    4. The Total column displays the total number of samples panelists completed across all the days displayed in the report.
