Accessing Compusense

Overview

Compusense is an internet-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution which means the software can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
Please see the table of contents on the right to jump to the relevant article to help you with accessing your Compusense account.

Logging In for the First Time

When Compusense creates your Analyst account, you will receive an automated email with a button link to activate your Compusense account.

If your organization is set up for SSO Compusense access, you will not need to activate your account! Please follow the steps for accessing Compusense via SSO.

Step 1- Activate Your Account

Click the link found in your email from Compusense to activate the account.


Alert
If you have not received the activation email, please check your Spam/Junk folder. If the email is not there either, please contact our Support Team.

The activation link will expire 7 days after it was issued to you. If you are prevented from activating your account within the 7 days, please contact our Support Team for assistance.

Step 2: Personalize Your Account
  1. Set your own password in the Enter new password field ensuring that you meet the password requirements. Retype the password in the Repeat new password field.


  2. From the Choose a forgot password question list select a question of your choice and specify the answer in the Answer field.
    (Note: you will need to answer this question correctly if you ever wish to reset your own password!)


  3. Select a security image from the list provided.


  4. Click Create My Account.

Step 3 : Entering the Verification Code
  1. When prompted, click Send me the code.

  2. Check your email; you should receive an email titled "Compusense One-Time Verification Code XXXXXX".

  3. Enter the verification code from the email.

  4. Optional : By checking the Do not Challenge... checkbox you will not be prompted for a code again for another 24 hours if using the same browser to access your Compusense account.

  5. Click Verify.
  

You should now be taken to the Compusense Dashboard where you can create tests, run analysis, and much more.


Setting up Mobile App for Codes

You can set up the mobile app on your smartphone to receive push notifications. We recommend setting up the app even just as a backup in case you are unable to access your email for any reason. Please follow these steps:

  1. From the black ribbon in Compusense, click the gear icon and select Settings.


  2. Scroll down to the Two factor authentication settings and click Set up.


  3. Select your device type and follow the instructions for downloading "Okta Verify" on your device if you already don't have it installed. Click Next.


  4. Open the "Okta Verify" app on your device, select Add an Account, and scan the QR code provided.

  5. Account will be automatically added after scanning the QR code. Click Compusense logo or the home icon to return to the "Dashboard", or select another option from the black ribbon at the top to access other parts of the software.


  6. The next time you are required to enter a code to log into Compusense, click the box next to the circle picture to select your desired authentication factor. If you would like to receive push notifications, select the Okta Verify (device name) option and click Send Push. For email method click Send me the code.




Forgot Password

If at any point you forget your password, you can reset your password yourself by following the steps below.

If you've never logged into this site before, please contact Compusense Support.
  1. From the Sign in page, click Need help signing in?.

  2. Click Forgot Password.


  3. Enter in your corporate email address address associated with your Compusense account and click Reset via Email.


  4. Check your email; you should receive an email titled "Compusense Password Reset Request". Click the Reset Password button link.

  5. Answer your Forgotten Password Challenge question and click Reset Password.


  6. Create a new password in the New password field ensuring that you meet the password requirements, retype the password in the Repeat password field, and click Reset Password.


  7. You will now be redirected to the main login page and can use your new password to sign into Compusense moving forward.

Locked Account

After 8 unsuccessful attempts to log into your Compusense account, your account will be automatically locked, and you will be prompted to unlock your account. To unlock your account, follow these steps:
  1. On the Unlock account screen, enter your corporate email address associated with your Compusense account and click Send Email.


  2. On the next screen, click Back to Sign In.

  3. Check your email; you should receive an email titled "Unlock Account".  Click the Unlock Account link in the email.

  4. Answer your Unlock Account Challenge question and click Unlock Account.


  5. Click Back to Sign In to log into Compusense.


Alert
If you can't remember your answer to the Unlock Account Challenge question, contact Compusense Support Team to assist you or wait for 30 minutes and your account will automatically become unlocked. If you are using SSO to access Compusense, this duration may be different.
When you next successfully log in, review and update your Unlock Account Challenge questions and answers for future needs.

Notes
If your account became locked because you forgot your password, follow the Forgot Password steps above to reset your password.
