Accessing Compusense Via SSO

Accessing Compusense Via SSO

Overview

If your organization has implemented a Single Sign-On (SSO) analyst user authentication service with Compusense, there are two things to be aware of:
  1. Your organization has a unique Compusense login page. The Compusense Support Team will provide the URL (link) to you when you become a Compusense user.

  2. Your login credentials for Compusense will be the same as those you use for accessing your organization's network.

For efficient access to your Compusense login page, we recommend bookmarking it. In this workflow we will teach you how to properly bookmark the Compusense SSO login page.

Notes
If your organization is not set up with SSO for Compusense, please follow the standard access workflow.

Idea
If you are interested in learning more about the analyst or panelist SSO for Compusense, please contact our Support Team.

Bookmark the Compusense Login Page

  1. In the email that the Compusense Support Team sent you, click the link to open your SSO login page. It could look something like this:

  2. Bookmark the page as you normally would in your browser, name it well, and select where you wish to save the bookmark.

Please note that this is not enough to make the bookmark work! If you try to use the bookmark as it is, you will get an error page that might refer to "Access denied", similar to this:

This is because the nature of SSO setup is such that it redirects from the URL that Compusense provides you with to your corporate user validation portal. This process uses parameters that are different every time a user attempts to access the software, which makes the originally bookmarked page invalid.

  3. To open the Edit bookmark screen, navigate to your list of bookmarks, right-click on the bookmark for Compusense, and select Edit bookmark.

  4. You will notice that the URL currently in there is not what Compusense Support Team sent you. Find the URL that they sent you, copy it, and paste it in the URL box.

You can take this opportunity to update the bookmark name if necessary, and save the changes.

  5. Try the bookmark in a new tab. It should now consistently open up the login page for your organization's Compusense SSO login page.
