Overview
In Compusense you can move tests one at a time or multiple tests at a time. In this workflow we will cover different scenarios, so click on the link on the right that best suits your needs.
Move One Test At A Time
Scenario: There is only one test that you wish to move from one folder to another or from one analyst group to another.
Tests with the
Running status or
Expired cannot be moved until they are
paused.
- In the Dashboard, locate the test you wish to move, but do not open it. If you cannot see your test, either adjust the filters or go to the steps for moving multiple tests.
- In the More column for your test, click the three vertical dots and select Move this test.

- If you are presented with the Analyst group dropdown list, that means that you have access to multiple analyst groups. Select the group you wish to move your test to.

- Select the folder you wish to move your test to. You can start typing the destination folder's name to assist you with the search.
- Click Move selected tests.
Move Entire Folder
Scenario: There is a whole folder of tests that you would like to move from one folder to make it a sub-folder of another one within the same analyst group.
It is not possible to move entire folder from one analyst group to another.
We recommend verifying that moving a folder is the right action for your needs by using the search capabilities in the
Advanced search & analysis across tests. This is because the
Dashboard view defaults to 6 months worth of last modified tests. Although it is possible to adjust the filter in the
Dashboard, the
Advanced search & analysis across tests is a more comprehensive search tool.
- In the Dashboard, locate the folder you wish to move. In our example, the folder is called "Free Choice Profiling".
- At the end of the folder name, click the three vertical dots and select Edit this folder.

- If you wish, you can rename the folder before moving it.
From the dropdown list select the new folder under which you wish to move this folder. You can start typing the destination folder's name to assist you with the search.

- Click Save edits.
Move Multiple Tests At A Time
Scenario: There are multiple tests that you wish to move from one folder to another or from one analyst group to another. The tests may or may not be inside one folder, and even if they were, your objective is not to move all the tests from that folder, but rather only some.
This scenario is applicable even if moving just one test.
Tests with the Running status or Expired cannot be moved until they are paused.
- In the Dashboard, click the Advanced search & analysis across tests.
- Specify the search criteria and search for the test or tests you wish to move.
- Select the test or tests you wish to move. You can use the Shift key on your keyboard and a click or tap to select multiple consecutive tests. Use the very first checkbox in the header row to select all tests in the search results.
Reminder, running and expired tests cannot be moved.

- click Move. If you are presented with the Analyst group dropdown list, that means that you have access to multiple analyst groups. Select the group you wish to move your test or tests to.

- Select the folder you wish to move your test or tests to. You can start typing the destination folder's name to assist you with the search.
- Click Move selected tests.
