Delete and Recover Deleted Tests

Delete and Recover Deleted Tests

Overview

This article explains how to delete a test in Compusense and how to recover a test after it has been deleted. By design, only individual tests can be deleted to prevent accidental mass deletion.

✎ Note: Although tests can be recovered, we recommend double-checking whether you really wish to delete the test, especially if the test is owned by another analyst.

ℹ Info: Your user permissions affect whether you can delete or recover a deleted test. Contact Compusense Support if you run into any issues deleting or recovering deleted tests.

Deleting a Test

Deleting a test does not permanently remove it right away. The test is moved to the Deleted tests folder, where it can be restored later if needed.

  1. On the Dashboard, locate the test you want to delete.
  2. Click the three dots, More, and click Delete this test.

The test is removed from its current folder and moved into the Deleted tests folder.

⚠ Warning: A test with a Running or Expired status cannot be moved until it is paused first.

Recovering a Deleted Test

If you deleted a test by mistake, or need to bring one back into use, you can restore it from the Deleted tests folder (if your permissions allow that).

  1. On the left side of the Dashboard, locate the list of folders and open the Deleted tests folder.

  2. Find the test you want to restore, click the three dots next to the test and select Move this test.

  3. Choose the folder the test was originally in (or another active folder) as the destination and click Move selected tests.

The test is moved out of Deleted tests and back into an active folder, where you can work with it as normal. If you can't find the Deleted tests folder, or the test isn't there after deleting it, contact Compusense Support for help.
