Same/different Response Related Choose Question

Same/different Response Related Choose Question

Overview

Do you have a list of options you would like to ask panelists to choose from in a response to the samples they evaluated as same or different in your Same/different test? Not a problem! You can add a Choose question type in such a way that the analysis will automatically separate the panelist responses to this question into Correct and Incorrect tables.

  1. In your Same/different test's Build tab , add a Choose question.

You are able to drag and drop a question to the location of your choice when adding in a new question to your questionnaire.

You can also move your question after adding it by using the Move up and Move down arrows or by using the drag handles, as seen in the images below.

  2. In the Question options , go to the Display tab  and set the following option:

Show question  = Preference related. This selection will ensure that panelists are prompted with one Comment box. If this option is not set, the panelists will get two Comment boxes, one for each of the 2 samples.

  3. Add the choices as needed.

  4. (Optional) If necessary, update any other options to better suit your testing needs and maximize panelist experience.

  5. Click Save .

Set Skip Connection

If you wish to ask the Choose question only to panelists that indicated that samples are different, follow the steps below to set a Skip connection up. The idea is that those who indicate that the samples are the same will skip the Choose question and those that indicated that the samples are different will see the Choose question.
  1. In the Build tab, click Connections > Skip.

  2. Set the If to your Same/different question.
The Response is should be Selected the Same.
The Then skip should be your comment question.
