Redeem Points

Redeem Points

Overview

While Stars and Strikes are great for attendance tracking, points can be redeemed for tangible rewards. You can choose how frequently you want to redeem the points. E.g. once every month, at the end of each quarter, once a year, etc.

You can redeem all points, or only a subset of them.

Before redeeming the points, we recommend running incentives reports to see the status and also to create a backup if ever needed.

Where to Redeem Points?

  1. In the "Panelist" library:
    1. Click the panel that contains the panelists you wish to redeem points for. Select the panelists and select "Incentives > Redeem points".

    2. Click the "Find panelists" tab and use this feature to find and select the panelist(s) you would like to redeem the points for. Select "Incentives > Redeem points".

    3. Specify a descriptive title for your transaction. This will be important when running reports.

Redeem All Points

Now that you are in the right window, you can redeem all points as follows:
  1. In the "Transaction date", select "Any".

  2. Leave the checkboxes unchecked and click "Redeem points". The points for the selected panelists will be set to 0.

You can generate the Points redemption history report to manage your actual monetary reward, or rewards of a different kind, according to the number of points redeemed for each panelist.

Redeem Specific Number of Points

Now that you are in the right window, you can redeem a subset of points as follows:
  1. In the "Transaction date", specify what transaction dates you wish to include.

  2. Place a checkmark in the "Up to ___ points" checkbox, and specify up to how many points you wish to redeem. This can be useful for managing taxable limits, for example.

  3. Click "Redeem points".

Redeem Points in Increments

Now that you are in the right window, you can redeem points in increments as follows:
  1. In the "Transaction date", specify what transaction dates you wish to include.

  2. Place a checkmark in the "In increments of" checkbox, and specify how many points you wish to redeem at a time.
For example, if a panelist has a number of points that is not exactly rounded up for a standard gift card amount (e.g. 88 points vs. gift cards for $20, or $50, or $100), redeeming in specific increments can ensure that appropriate number of points is redeemed across all selected panelists regardless of their total number of points to match the gift card amounts. The leftover points can be either carried over to the next incentives period, or reset to 0 (zero).
