Insert Image in Text Editor

Insert Image in Text Editor

Overview

Static images can be inserted inside text screens in Compusense to enhance your panelist experience during their data collection. "Static" image means that the same image will be visible by all panelists in the same text screen; the image will not rotate with the sample/design.

Images can also be dynamically evaluated as samples. Please refer to the corresponding workflow for that (see the Update sample information section for details).

To use static images in your test, you will have to insert an image file (do not copy and paste images) in the text editor of the screen you wish to display the image on.

In this workflow we will show you how to properly insert images in text editors.

Please do not copy and paste images into text screens because that action might cause corruption in your test.

Before You Begin

You will need to save your images as files. Here are some general guidelines to keep in mind when working with images in Compusense:
  1. The compatible file formats are:
    1. .png
    2. .jpeg
    3. .gif

  2. The maximum file size supported is 10 MB.

Insert Image

  1. In a test, go to the Build tab.

  2. Go to the question or Text/time delay screen where you wish to insert a static image.

  3. Click in the text portion of the question or Text/time delay screen to activate the text editor.

  4. In the text editor menu bar, locate the picture icon. When you hove over it, it will show Insert image (Ctrl + P) tool tip.

  5. Click the picture icon and either drop the image file in the box that comes up, or click in the box to browse to your image file. Insert the image.

  6. You may resize the image as needed. Preview the page to make sure the image looks the way you want it to be.
