Import/Export History

Import/Export History

Overview

Import/export history provides a list of transaction activities at the panel level, including activity type and its success. Whether you are importing panelists from a file into the Panelists library, or
updating panelist information by importing from a file into the Panelists library, or exporting panelist data from the Panelists library into a file, your daily activity is recorded in one convenient location.

The Import/export history can be useful for auditing purposes as it records activity details performed by all analysts at your organization.

Manual panelist entries and panelist membership changes are not recorded in the Import/export history.

Access Import/Export History

  1. From the black ribbon at the top, select Libraries > Panelists.

  2. On the left, select the panel for which you wish to review the import/export history. The Import/export history is only available at the panel level.

  3. On the right, select Import/export > Import/export history.

Understanding the History

If the selected panel has had file import or export activities in the past, you will see a table with activities listed in separate rows.

If the selected panel has not had any file import or export activity associated with it, the page will load with only the page header displayed.

There are two columns in the table. The first column contains a summary about each activity and the second column displays the activity success with related messages.

The Summary columns provide the following information:
  1. Import date or Export date. This is the exact date and time when the file import, update, or export took place.

  2. Imported by or Exported by. The name of the analyst who performed the import, update, or export.

  3. # of panelists. The total number of panelists successfully imported, updated, or exported.

  4. Import/update. The indicator whether the file import was a new panelist import or an update to existing panelists.

Below are example messages that you can expect to see in your Import/export history.
