Descriptive Analysis Workbook Panelist Performance Graphs

What is it?

Panelist Performance Graphs is one of the sheets in the Descriptive Analysis Workbook. It is a visual overview of the product intensities for each attribute, showing the panel and panelist means.

Why would I use it?

It can be helpful for initial panelist performance impressions and presenting findings.

Setup options



To generate the Panelist Performance Graphs sheet, under 2. Select Options, select Panel performance graph.



Analysis Overview



    1. Graph Data.  The tables from which the graph is generated contains all the panel/panelist samples and their means. The second table contains the panelist standard deviations.

    2. GraphOne plot per attribute showing the panel mean and panelist mean and standard deviation, shown in legend, for each sample.

Standard Deviations will only show if reps were used in the test.

Example Conclusion

We can see from the panelist performance graph that for Apple Juice 1, Viola Conley has a lower mean compared to the panel even when accounting for the standard deviation.
